Route from Mumbai to Nashik
To reach Nashik from Mumbai by road, you can choose from two routes. Both have good roads, although the travel time varies with each.
The shortest and most common Mumbai-Nashik route is via NH 160. This route is around 166 km long and requires about 3 hours and 45 minutes of driving, which can be covered comfortably in one of our rental cars. While travelling on this route, you can stop for sightseeing at towns like Thane, Kalyan, Shahapur, Kasara, Igatpuri and Vilholi.
Another way for Mumbai to Nashik road trip is through NH 48 and NH 848. This route is comparatively longer. It goes via Thane, Vasai-Virar, Manor, Vikramgad, Jawhar and Trimbak. You can stop at any of these destinations for a quick stopover.

Panchvati
Located on the sides of River Godavari, it is a religious site with great significance. It is believed to be the place where Lord Rama, Goddess Sita and Lord Lakshmana spent time during their 14 years of vanvas.
Kalaram Temple
Dedicated to Lord Rama, this temple was built in 1792 and has an black-coloured statue of Lord Ram, which is said to have been recovered from the Godavari River.
Near to it, another ancient temple is located. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is known as Kapileshwar Temple.
